Jaspects is probably one of the most overlooked bands of the past decade.  Happy MLK Day!  "Unifunk", a standout from their 2009 release The Polkadotted Stripe, is a perfect revisit for the occasion.

And just like that, I’m right back like I left something.  Let’s end this month-long drought by ringing in the New Year, shall we?  Of course, that can only be made possible with the annual Rap Up, courtesy of Skillz.  For those of you who'd been looking for this one on the net, it didn't drop until about two days into 2011.  Hit the jump for details on why the "2010 Rap Up" almost didn't happen.  Happy New Year!
